Park Community Centre is a year round safe community space in Downtown Brandon that features a licensable community hall, performance stage, kitchen facilities, community garden, children’s playground / community common and seasonable recreational opportunities. Park Community Centre offers economical rental options for citizens in the surrounding downtown residential neighbourhood and the community at large.

Park Community Centre’s roots are in the first decade of the twentieth century when winter ice for skating was first made south of Park School, where present day Hobbs Manor is located. Park Community Centre has had a storied history – as a home for wedding, socials, showers, concerts, theatre, films, dances, cultural associations, faith groups and a wide array of cultural activities – most recently serving as a Polling Station for the October 2019 Canadian General Election.

The best historical overview of Park Community Centre currently available online is by Winnipeg journalist Christian Cassidy: https://westenddumplings.blogspot.com/2019/12/brandons-park-community-centre-to-be.html?m=1
